Backing up an entire user account in HostPanel

Creating a full backup of your HostPanel user account takes no more than a few minutes. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Log in to HostPanel’s user interface and open the Backup Tool. The default login URL for HostPanel’s user interface is https://domain.com/hostpanel. Under the Files section of the homepage, you’ll find the Backup Tool.

  2. Click the Generate Backup button. You will see a list of all the backups stored in your account Above them, you have the Generate Backup button.

  3. Configure your backup and create it. Through the popup that appears, you can choose what you want to back up and where you want to save it. If you select the Exclude email and files checkbox, you will only save your databases, if you select the Exclude databases checkbox, you will only save your account files and folders. Save the backup to a remote FTP server option, You can send backed-up data to a remote location for added security. If you select this, HostPanel will ask you for the remote server’s credentials.
